7 kwi 2011 · What we have is several readings of the antenna with the latest matching system as previously posted. The readings are 4 different sets consisting of the MFJ-259B connected to the antenna by e1/2λ x 6 coax, e1/2λ, 2' jumper, and directly mounted to the antenna feed point with a coupler connector.
Smart homebrew antenna-ELEVATOR system with linear actuator. The actuator is a cheap and heavy tool with high enough torque, ideal for elevation systems, but in practice it needs quite an effort in order to operate correctly in your homebrew antenna system.
1 sie 2024 · Homebrewing antennas not only allows operators to customize their own setups but also fosters a deeper understanding of antenna theory and construction. Below are five excellent online homebrewed antenna projects that are perfect for portable ham radio use.
The transmatch, or ham radio antenna tuner, is a variable impedance matching device. It is used between the transmission line of an HF antenna system and a transceiver or transmitter. Its purpose is to make the antenna system "look like" a purely resistive load - usually 50 Ohms for the vast majority of ham radio transceivers or receivers nowadays.
So there are advantages to feeding via an antenna socket. The signal coupler is also good for radios without an antenna socket. But in case of using an antenna socket, common mode wave interference picked up in the house goes unlimited into the radio. Due to the magnetic coupling to the ferrite antenna, common mode waves are completely suppressed.
19 mar 2023 · I know there is eleventy thousand Prefabricated Dual Band VHF/UHF Antennas out there, but if you want to make your own with 100% tunable capability for both bands on the cheap then this post is for you.
