Works great at 100 watt, easy to tune, compact Time Owned: 0 to 3 months. This little tuner fits in my go kit and works great. To minimize stress on the tuner, I don't tune with the radio. I connect an antenna analyzer to the tuner and adjust for minimum SWR. Only then I connect it to the radio.

The ZM-2 ATU is a simple manual antenna tuner that you can purchase either as a fun-to-build kit or fully assembled and tested. I’ve owned my ZM-2 for many years, and I believe every QRP field operator should have one. They do a brilliant job of matching random wire antennas and taking your resonant antenna to a non-resonant band.
10 mar 2020 · I’ve had success using a homebrew Z-match tuner. Companies like Pacific Antenna and QRP Guys sell Z-match tuner kits that will handle balanced lines. They offer tuners that are small and light enough for QRP-portable use.
I use these for QRP rigs and nothing compares to manual adjustment! They are good for much more than QRP. A tuned resonant antenna/feedline combination is absolutely needed to keep many QRP transceivers from destroying even their low power final transistors.
This little marvel can tune my antenna from 40M to 6M at 100 Watts with no arcing so far. It is a great small size and fits in my small shack quite nicely. I am looking forward to working from the garden or / portable with it this summer with my QRP rig.
26 lis 2022 · I currently am using an LDG 20 watt QRP autotuner with my 100 watt radio. I was looking at the 100 watt LDG autotuners but noticed they are only rated for 30 watts in digital mode. I do understand that FT8 doesn't necessarily require 100 watts but I would also like to use SSB voice and CW as well.
