The Hobo Railroad is a family friendly train ride in a natural woodsy setting along the Pemigewasset River located in the Lincoln-Woodstock area. Trains operate weekends Memorial Day through late June, daily late June through Labor Day - Then weekends in early September, daily mid-September through mid-October.
The railroad has some of the most diverse and scenic Fall Foliage Trains in New England, either lakeside or on a journey to the mountains. Since 2003 the railroad has promoted heavily this important season for tourism. It also benefits from its 1½ hour travel time from Boston.

It was one of the main ways to travel through the northern part of New Hampshire. Tourists from populous U.S. and Canadian cities used this route often.
