22 mar 2024 · The first thing you need to do is make sure that all the couplers are the right height. N scale being as tiny as it is, a molecular difference between couplers will cause failure. You'll need a coupler height measuring gauge that is compatible with Bachmann couplers.
16 sty 2010 · I have 2 odd N scale that I would like to convert to MicroTrains couplers. Both are Minitrix. One is their 320 ton hot metal (bottle) car and the other is their Schnabel car.
9 kwi 2024 · I have converted all my Con-Cor corrugated and smooth side cars to MT 1017 trucks and then swapped in metal wheelsets. If your trucks are silver, then use a 1017-S. I you just wish to swap couplers and keep the CC trucks, you can use an MT 1130, or choose from many other non-MT options.

14 maj 2023 · N Scale Couplers. 40 years ago, there were only two kinds of couplers, Rapido and Kadee. Today they are called Micro Train or MTL. While MTLs work relatively well, they are still quite costly. So for Rapido replacements, I had been using Unimate couplers, also available from Fox Valley.
