1 cze 2023 · An HO scale color-light dwarf signal. Model Railroader staff photo. Dwarf signals control movements in yards, industrial spurs, and passing sidings, rather than on main lines. Since trains in these settings are already moving at very low speeds, these signals don’t have to be visible from a distance, and so can be mounted at ground level.
They are high quality photo-etched signals made true-to-scale currently for HO and N scale. All are pre-wired with resistors. They come in two varieties - one in which the signal aspect is either green or off.
18 lut 2021 · The following is how I constructed crossing signals on my HO layout using readily available signals, infrared sensors, and components. I have two parallel mainline tracks which a road crosses. The tracks are close enough such that both tracks are controlled by the same set of signals.
The signal mast structures for either type are almost identical. The only difference is the target assemblies. I have given some dimensions in millimeters (for HO scale) which I find easiest to work with or scale feet. Figure 1 shows drawings of a single and double Type SA target signal.
