14 paź 2011 · I was wanting to start a thread that collects all the info about MP5 magazines. Things like date codes, markings, first year of the curved style, last year of straight style. Also would like to get into how each style performs in which gun using what type of ammo.
Magazines Waffle. The very first magazine that came with the MP5. These are identified by the indentions on the front of the magazine. These were for 9x19mm, unlike the straight mags used for the MP5/10 and MP5/40, but didn't work well with certain rounds, so the switch was made to more universally reliable curved mags for 9x19mm.
16 maj 2011 · The straight HK mags work well and were only made pre-94. With that said, if you can get a deal on some unmarked Pakistani or Korean mags at a deal, they might be worth a try. Remember to check inside and outside for markings.

The MP5 Submadline Gun, for 9mmx 19 (Luger) ammunition, is an automatic small arm produced in accordance with the most advanced manufacturing methods. It permits either single shots or bursts to be fired from all positions. The submachine gun is recoil-operated, with stationary barrel and delayed roller locked bolt system.
HK MP5 markings on the firearm. The primary version of the MP5 family is the MP5A2, which is a lightweight, air-cooled, selective fire delayed blowback operated 9×19mm Parabellum weapon with a roller-delayed bolt. It fires from a closed bolt (bolt forward) position. [24]
The ammunition is fed from either a 15 or 30 (standard) round magazine. The MP5 is capable of being fitted with a variety of accessories including buttstocks of different configurations as well as trigger groups, handguards, scope mounts, blank firing attachments, grenade launchers and much more.
