The Troy Historic Village is a collection of 11 buildings surrounding a gazebo and green in the heart of Troy, Michigan. Filled with the collections and stories of the 1800s settlement and 1900s growth in the Troy area, staff and volunteers use these buildings to bring history to life for visitors of all ages.

History. The earliest recorded purchases of land in what was known as Troy Township occurred in 1819. A couple of years later, a settlement known as Troy Corners was established due to Johnson Niles buying 160 acres in the region. The area is currently the north-central area of Troy.

Troy Historic Village showcases 10 historic structures on a five-acre complex. Visitors can explore Michigan history by witnessing and sharing the lifestyles of the pioneers who established homes and farms in rural Troy Township during the 1800s.
Stroll through the charming two-acre village at the Troy Historic Village. The fully furnished buildings include a log cabin (1840), Greek revival home (1865), one-room Poppleton School (1877), print shop, wagon shop, town hall and church (1900), and a general store and parsonage (1910).
