The sprint hurdles refer to the distance athletes run, from U13 athletes running 75m to seniors running 110 m.
Here we give details of numbers, heights and spacings of hurdles for the all age groups in athletics, both sprint and long (300m/400m) hurdles. Our chart will allow you to always get the hurdles set correctly for the race you or your athlete is going to do.
In the USA, there are five different hurdle heights used in competition with the four lowest heights being used in junior high and high school, and the highest hurdle height (Men’s 110H hurdles) used in college and international competition.
Hurdle height should be 30 inches for frosh boys. All other measurements remain the same.
High School, Men 30-49, Intermediate and Young Men run the Men's 110HH at 39" as described above. Men 50-59 run the women's 100 spacing at 36" For all the races below, you will need to create special locations to accomodate the hurdle placement.
