This online application process allows you to apply for New York State's Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). TAP is available to students attending a SUNY, CUNY or not-for-profit independent degree-granting colleges on a full or part-time basis.
Applicants are required to apply annually to the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC). HESC determines the applicant's eligibility and emails a certificate of eligibility with the amount of the grant directly to the applicant.

How do I apply for TAP? When you have completed the FAFSA-on-the-Web, the confirmation page will give you a link to the TAP-on-the-Web application for New York State financial aid. Before completing the TAP application, you will be asked to establish a PIN (Personal Identification Number) for TAP.
