Other characters are evolving while Claire is devolving. She went from saving people in a fire in EP1 to a whiny girl with daddy issues that needed to be saved by everyone in the end. She has one of the best powers in the show (approved by Sylar lol) and yet, she kept complaining about wanting to be “normal”.

I love this show but it's not without his faults. During this season specially they show was trying to be "cool" again and that led to some cuestionable choices. Also the writers inability (or unwilliness) to let Sylar go became a problem. I will be waiting your opinion of the season finale.
So its kinda like there are 5 seasons. Plus there is also a reboot season so technically there is 6 season. The original series ending is decent. The Reborn series wraps up somewhat nicely and then in the last couple minutes sets up for a season 2 that never came.
