Upgrades and Mods. Aeron Classic. Just scored a Aeron for $200 and when I'm rocking in the chair it makes a squeaking noise. Other than that I'm thinking about upgrading the wheels and I was wondering if posturefit or lumbar support is worth the extra $$$.
This was done using an aftermarket Classic, Herman Miller Aeron C chair. The only caveat is, depending how heavy you are, the mount may slightly touch the bottoms of your legs, through the seat. I’m 6ft and 193lbs and it’s just barely noticeable.
I noticed on my Herman Miller Aeron Remastered (2017) Chair that it had two 50mm tubular sections on both sides of the underside of the chair that were wide enough and sturdy enough to possibly be used as a mounting spot for a DIY HOTAS Mounting system.
Office chair casters are the most replaced (or upgraded) Herman Miller Aeron chair parts. The stock aeron chair wheels will see lots of wear and tear only after a few years of use. This will cause the plastic chair casters to eventually break-down and prevent smooth rolling.
