I dislike MS as much as the next guy, but Paint3D is just very nice if you need to make quick and simple adjustments to an image. What is a good alternative on Linux? Preferably GUI, otherwise CLI with intuitive CLI arguments so I don't need to google for 10 minutes every time I want to use it.

28 mar 2023 · mtPaint is a lightweight equivalent of Microsoft Paint. It is lighter (requires only 1 MB to install because it depends on GTK which Ubuntu has out-of-the-box) than Pinta , which needs 20 MB disc space on a standard Ubuntu install because of the Mono dependency.
Ill be honest with you, if you are new to linux, it would be advisable to use applications native to linux. You can get paint running on linux. I would suggest looking into Wine: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Wine
Dang! In that case, a virtual machine solution like Winapps, VMware etc might help. The only other thing that comes to mind is to visit alternativeto.net to see if Linux has any direct equivalent to Paint 3D.
