Iris has landed! The matriarch from the Hellgate Osprey cam is back for the 2021 breeding season. She was first spotted at her nest in Missoula, Montana, after arriving back from spring migration at 8:06 AM on April 7.
After 59 days in the nest, the final nestling from the 2024 Hellgate Osprey Cam took to the skies of Missoula, Montana, on the morning of August 14. Watch the chick, named Antali, make a confident jump towards the cam before fluttering away in the direction of the Clark Fork River.
Iris, perhaps the world's oldest known breeding Osprey, has returned to her nest site in Hellgate Canyon for the 2022 breeding season. Iris first touched down at the nest on 4:09 PM on April 7.
