Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in San Francisco has huge, masterfully done gigantic mosaics, including a 23 foot mosaic head of Christ atop the inside of a huge dome 75 above the floor (see http://www.holy trinitysf.org/dome.html) and several dozen other large mosaic icons covering many walls. The iconography and design of the icons is superb.
