Mascot Gold Mine Tours offers visitors the opportunity to explore a historic gold mine in Hedley, BC. Guests can take guided tours of the mine to learn about its rich mining history and see various artifacts from the past.
Our 4.5-hour tour will take you to the Mascot Gold Mine, perched high on a cliff overlooking the Similkameen Valley. You will explore historic mine buildings, find out how gold was mined here and experience what it was like to live at the mine.
Historic Hedley Mine. People have lived in the Similkameen River valley for 7000 years. First Nations people mined and extracted ochre for paint, chert for arrowheads, along with opals, quartz crystals, and gold, for trade and personal use. Hedley Town was built in the middle of Indian land.
1 wrz 2015 · If you enjoy a sensational view, this tour to historical Mascot Gold Mine is for you. The 4.5 hour tour to the buildings and mine entrance perched on the side of a mountain 3000 feet above the valley floor is fantastic.
13 kwi 2023 · Hiking to French Mine Near Hedley in British Columbia’s Okanagan. While recently camped at Stemwinder Provincial Park we were searching for a hike in the region. A quick search on AllTrails brought up the Nickelplate French Mine Loop, a 6.3km circular trail near Hedley BC.
