13 sie 2024 · Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that New York State has paid over $2 billion in bonuses to more than 800,000 health care workers statewide through the Health Care Worker Bonus Program. The program was launched by Governor Hochul in 2022 and provided bonuses of up to $3,000 for eligible health care workers across New York.
The Health Care Worker Bonus (HWB) Portal that is used for employers to claim these funds went live last week. Reporting for the first vesting period - October 1, 2021- March 31, 2022 - is currently open for submissions. The deadline for these submissions is September 2, 2022.

One important update is that bonuses submitted for Vesting Period 3 (for those employed during the period October 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023) should be paid to the employer on July 19, 2023 in eMedNY Cycle 2393.
