WHY REFERENCE? Referencing is the method used to ensure that other research influences are recognised within your assignment.
The Harvard style involves two tasks: How you refer to other authors in the body of your text (in-text citation). How you compile a list of reference sources at the end of your text (reference list).
Reference examples. If you download or read a PDF from a website, you must reference the actual document type, for example a book chapter, a government report or a leaflet, not the file format (PDF).
