4 lip 2016 · Pros. Weight-to-warmth ratio. Comfortable. Cons. Learning curve. The Hammock Gear Incubator 20 is my primary hammock insulation. I've had mine a year. It's been out over 40 nights, car camping, overnight backpacking, and several 2-5 night backpacking trips.
The HG Incubator 20 is looking pretty good to me. I anticipate little or no packing, mostly car or motorcycle camping, so weight is not really an issue. I like modular and flexiblity in gear, so the summersock bugnet seems as if it would serve well as an UQP if unexpectedly needed.
This Hammock Gear Incubator Economy Under Quilt is an 800 fill down quilt that could be a great addition to any hammock sleep system. The 20 degree version weighs 25.02 oz and packs down nicely into an 8.5 liter stuff sack.
The Incubator is Hammock Gear's full length underquilt setup. Made with your choice of several different denier fabrics that features a DWR (durable water resistant) coating to help shed moisture and an internal calendared finish for down proof construction.
