But if you are looking to save money and size/weight is not a concern, I recommend you also consider a synthetic UQ. A quality synth quilt rated at an equivalent temperature rating will often be $100 or more cheaper than a down quilt and will have other benefits as well (like weather resistance).

17 lis 2012 · Hammock Gear Incubator 40°. Hammock under quilt that is well made and has a realistic temperature rating. I have switched to a hammock as my primary shelter after many years of waffling between it and a tent. Up until the past year, I used a Thermarest pad as my insulation in the hammock.

It will weigh that smidge less and pack that smidge smaller, the latter being especially high on my priority list. Particularly with the 25% off sale, I think the price I paid for the Phoenix is extremely fair.
