5 paź 2024 · This is basically just WiiiMC with the addition of YouTube support (thanks @Winter-Knight !) It's still in early beta and stuff, but at least now it exists! It's made as simple as possible, just download, move to SD Card, and run!
So, you want to watch YouTube on your Wii. Maybe your Wii is the only console you have and you don't want to buy an expensive streaming device. And, the Internet Channel and YouTube apps do not work anymore. Well, here's a neat trick to patch WiiMC with your own YouTube key to make it stream again.
On a Japanese Wii, the data is loaded from http://entj.wapp.wii.com/4/JP/ja/csdata.LZ. On a US Wii, the data is loaded from http://entj.wapp.wii.com/4/US/en/csdata.LZ. Since this is the Japanese server, US/en does not exist, so the channel must be tricked somehow to load from /4/JP/ja/csdata.LZ.
If you do connect your wii to the internet I recommend looking into Wiimmfi and RiiConnect24. You can find installation guides for these on Wii.Guide. They restore most of the wii's original online capabilities when used together.
