Currently testing a card I bought and it's saying it will take 7 hours. Just wondering if this is a sign that the card is fake. Apart from it being fake if you didnt pay like 200-300 bucks on the Sandisk Extreme (the only 1tb card on the market), it seems to slow.
Does using H2testw and CrystalDiskMark guarantee the authenticity of a MicroSD card (off AliExpress/Amazon/etc.)? Looking at a 64GB (or 128GB) MicroSD from Sam Sung Store on Ali (seems not to include a warranty of any kind though).
How fast should H2testw run, or: how shitty could an SD card reader really be? So I'm testing a 64GB Sandisk MicroSD card on my desktop, it's in a micro-to-regular SD adapter (Samsung branded if that matters) plugged into a USB 2 (could even be USB 1, I guess), running H2testw on the whole card.
2 wrz 2012 · Using generic formatting utilities may result in less than optimal performance for your memory cards. The SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards have a "Protected Area" on the card for the SD standard's security function. The SD Formatter does not format the "Protected Area".
6 sty 2020 · From reading here I decided to run h2testw on the SD card. I did not format it first because I wanted to test it in the same condition it was in since it was recently acting up. The test passed and also reported a good write speed. I forget the exact speed but let's just say it was 82.8 MB/s.
