  6. Overview. Setup! Step 1: Download the latest version of GZDooM from the website/github. Unpackage the download into the "dosbox" folder of your DOOM + DOOM II release. Step 2: Rename dosbox.exe to anything, so long as it's not dosbox.exe. Secondly rename gzdoom.exe to Dosbox.exe, this will register the DOS version as gzdoom.
