The Gulf of Morbihan is a nearly closed bay located in Southern Brittany. At its mouth, it is bordered by Locmariaquer to the West and the Ruys peninsula in the East. In Breton language, mor bihan means small sea. It is indeed a small sea with 42 islands, many of which are privately owned.
