2 sty 2022 · I think you need to keep your options open and your desk clean. Patchbay to all rack mounts i/o and patch in pedals as required. Keep an eye on level matching between pedals and racks as line /instrument levels are quite different and some rack gear can i/o at +4, -10 or both.

The rack setup you're talking about is a pretty versatile bit of kit. That preamp, in particular, has been used by everyone from Billy Gibbons to Sepultura. It's very good for bluesy and heavy tones, although it tends to not be as good for cleans (YMMV). And the stock valves and presets kinda suck.
