28 maj 2024 · This scam is taking advantage of information about Sam Ash closing some of its stores to trick users into believing they can get great deals on musical instruments. Scammers use a domain name “SamFlashSale.com” that looks similar to the real Sam Ash website to make the scam appear legitimate.
My bandmate sent me a link for a "Sam Ash Closing" website with guitars marked down to $80 and immediately though SCAM. Even the prices that these instruments were marked down from were not correct (nobody is selling a Martin d045 for $1000, let alone $99.99.)
18 maj 2024 · My husband found out that the Sam Ash Music stores were closing and saw an ad on Facebook to buy equipment at highly discounted prices. It took him to a website with the Sam Ash logo and he ordered 2 guitars. It went through PayPal but when the charge came up, it was from a scammer in China.
