DISCUSSION. All you have to do is go to. Document > Rockstar Games > GTA V > Profiles > BF617B46 (or whatever name that single folder has) > Delete pc_settings.bin. Now run GTA V and it will create a new pc_settings file and all you have to set is the brightness.

This is probably the best way after spending an hour and a half looking online (Rockstar, Reddit, and etc...) trying everything without success. I was turning off firewalls and antivirus, clearing cache, and you name it.
A common cause of saved games failing to load is the corruption of saved game files due to cheat codes entered into the game and saved.
30 mar 2017 · I tried to load the game and that error showed. "The save game data file appears to be damaged and cannot be loaded ". I tried to save in another slot, and the samething happened. I went to the savefile directory and i realized those save files have 0Kb each...
First, the solutions you'll find in a quick Google search. Clearing cache didn't help. Deleting the folder "<Documents>\Rockstar Games\Social Club\" didn't help. Deleting the file "<Documents>\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles\<Profile ID>\cloudsavedata.dat" didn't help.
24 kwi 2015 · For me, it works this way: You have 2 files for 1 savegame, for example: SGTA50000 SGTA50000.bak. You need both of them in the folder (C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles\SC_NUMBER). Try deleting all older savegames.
