The City operates leaf, limb and bulk material collection in 13 zones that span the entire City. It takes approximately 3-5 weeks to collect all zones, depending on the time of year. Greenwood County operates a Municipal Solid Waste Landfill designed to meet current SCDHEC regulations. The landfill currently receives approximately 280 tons of municipal solid waste per day. The county also operates a Construction, Demolition, and Land Clearing Debris landfill.
