A clue scroll (hard) is a valuable random drop from a large variety of high-levelled monsters. A hard clue scroll can be 4-6 steps long. Clue scrolls are the start of a Treasure Trail - a treasure hunt that sends players hunting all around Gielinor and other realms.
Having a high amount of quest points is beneficial when doing Treasure Trails. Many higher-level trails will lead a player into areas, which are locked by quests. If this is the case, the player must do the quest, up to where access to the area is granted, if they wish to complete their trail.
This is a tool for viewing what clues are available within each map chunk of Old School RuneScape. Features: Click and move your mouse to pan. Use your mouse's scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Click on a chunk to show the clue data for that chunk. Turn on "Chunk locking/unlocking mode" then click a chunk to toggle whether it is locked or unlocked.
Search all of them until the next clue or the reward is found. Maps can include landmarks such as buildings, fish to indicate fishing spots, roads, rivers, bridges, and so on. Digging in the location pointed to by a map clue will never spawn any monsters .
