29 wrz 2023 · RS2x (F-pads) is superb from averaged tonal and averaged technical quality, imo 09/29/2023. RS2x (F-pads) is worthy of replacing any one of my headphones (aside from closed-back utility). RS2x is like a super version of one of my all time favorites: Porta Pro. There is quite a price disparity: $550 vs $35, diminishing returns are obvious.
5 maj 2010 · Pros: Intimacy, sharpness and clarity of sound - outstanding for acoustic and vocal music. Visually unique, an impactful pair of headphones. Cons: Horribly uncomfortable ear pads. Sharpness of the sound is an acquired taste.
Since we had a RS-1 appreciation thread a while back, its time for the RS-2 version! Post your thoughts/opinions! I just recieved a pair today, and they sound freaking awesome! They are a bit bright, probably due to the AD8610s in my amp, but the bass is awesome, and they actually have a soundstage (unlike most of the other Grados).
For much less you get 90% of the Grado Sound as well. The negative elements relate to the build and comfort. The cable is very thick and not detachable. This is a minor issue as it looks as very difficult to break, however it might not satisfy those used to removable cables.

I'd call it the detailed-enough-without-being-too-bright sound. The soundstage is excellent but not perfect. The bass is very punchy and tight, but doesn't extend as well as some of the other high end Grados. If your recording is bad it will still sound bad through these phones.
2 paź 2009 · Cranking the RS-2is with rock is a little to much. There is to much detail that it's almost overwhelming and it's going to take a bit of getting used too. I've listened to 5 or 6 CDs loud and no fatigue.
