30 kwi 2021 · Barrel was free-machining resulfurized leaded, phosphorus added, grade 12L14. This alloy tends to crack when drawn to its final round in the mill. Douglas barrels of the time, I believe were cold drawn to octagon shape.

6 maj 2010 · GR Douglas is a well known barrel maker located at Cross Lanes WV. They are still in business but no longer make muzzleloading barrels. I worked there back in the 60's and George Suiter of Wmsbg. fame, also worked there.
