22 gru 2011 · Search or pan and zoom on the map to find a location. Click multiple times around the map to define an area. Double click to add the last point and complete the area. The calculated area will then be displayed below the map.
Find the area of any simple shape on a map. Useful tool to find the approximate acreage or a tract of land, the square footage of a roof, or estimate of the area of something.
Step 1: Load Google Earth, with the plugin you just downloaded. It divides the world into a grid of available data. This data is collected via a satellite using radar, and is accurate to about 10 meters (i think). Step 2: Locate the area you wish to import, and take note of the label of the 'chunk' it is in (eg. srtm_63_18).
