I use Etho's tweaked version of BOP which really enhances the frequency of mountainous terrain (a lot of the biomes are made mountainous by his tweaks). If you don't mind the rigor of retrieving that file, it's worth a try.

I'm looking to start a custom modpack server that has BoP installed, and I am looking for a good seed. I'm not looking for stuff like a temple or whatever at spawn; rather, I'm looking for a nice diversity of biomes fairly close to spawn.
