Next to Gold Lake Campground is a two lane concrete ramp with seasonal loading dock, paved parking and two pit toilets. The second location is at the dam and is primarily for mon-motorized watercraft.

Mandatory Boater Education Requirements. The California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) recommends that all recreational boaters take a state-approved boating safety course. These courses are listed on the DBW website under “Safety and Education” and “Aquatic Centers.”.

This DBW home study course is approved by California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and meets the California Boater Card education requirement. It can be read here online or downloaded to a home computer.
Gold Lake Campground is located along the shores of Gold Lake at an elevation of 6,400 feet. There are 37 campsites available. For the 2024 Recreation Season, all sites will be first come, first serve.
