The message of John 11 verses 25 to 26 focuses on the promise of eternal life and the benefit of faith and belief in Jesus. The opening words of Jesus in this verse are nothing short of extraordinary. He said, "I am the resurrection and the life."
24 mar 2017 · In verse 25 Jesus uses life to refer to resurrection life. So even the one who’s body is buried, if he is a believer, will live despite his death. He will be resurrected. But in verse 26 Jesus speaks of one who lives and believes never dying.

What does John 11:25 mean? When her brother succumbed to illness, Martha pointed out her belief that God would answer any request made by Jesus (John 11:22). In context, that was a thinly-veiled appeal for Jesus to bring Lazarus back from the dead (John 11:17).
John 11:25-26. Jesus connects with her answer that which He intended to say, as fitted to draw her faith from her own interest to His person: I, no other than I, am the resurrection and the life, i.e. the personal power of both, the one who raises again, and who makes alive. Comp. John 14:6; Colossians 3:4.
Grace will keep sorrow from the heart, but not from the house. When God, by his grace and providence, is coming towards us in ways of mercy and comfort, we should, like Martha, go forth by faith, hope, and prayer, to meet him.
“God is not the God of dead beings but of living beings, for all live unto him.” All do not live to us; to us the dead are dead, but to God the dead are living; all live unto Him; as He sees men there are none dead. In proof of this, witness the resurrection of Lazarus. What was that miracle?
