For people who have just been arrested, males will be held at 201 Poplar (901-222-4947) and women and teenage males will be held initially at Jail East. Hours: Mon - Fri 6:00 am - 8:30 pm (No phone service after hours)
201/225 Poplar Avenue, home of the Criminal Justice Center located in downtown Memphis, was built in 1981. The Criminal Justice Center houses the Shelby County Sheriff's Office Administrative offices, the Courts, Pretrial, Records and Identification, and the Shelby County Jail.
