BYPASSING THE PASSKEY III ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM. Some newer GM vehicles have a factory Passkey III Immobilizer system. This type of system uses a small chip imbedded in the ignition key, called a transponder, to transmit a very low powered RF signal.
