30 mar 2015 · There are several Youtube videos on this problem, because it's so common. The fix is really simple. You wipe out any visible dirt or dust that has accumulated around the filler port. (I used a rag saturated with Denatured Alcohol). Then spray the lube of your choice around the opening. Some guys use a silicone based spray.
17 wrz 2011 · For some reason, Dodge thought it ok to just run this rubber and plastic hose for the evap right next to the exhaust. There was at most 1.5 inches of space between them with no protection. The only thing holding it in place is a loosely hanging ground strap. Needless to say, found the problem.

14 sie 2024 · I've replaced the gas cap twice in the ~12 months since I bought the truck with caps from Advance Auto. I've also replaced the Evap System Leak Detection Pump and the Vapor Canister Purge valve. I've also had an intermittent problem with fueling up. The gas would quickly kick back up the filler tube and kick the fuel pump sensor shutoff.

9 gru 2017 · Has anyone found that the gas cap light was actually a failing gas cap? From what I’ve read and watched, seems like most change the gas cap and end up under the truck with a new evap detection valve anyway.
