6 gru 2016 · I've found people's factory sights knocked off or even just a little off from being hit on a table, a car door jam, or even wrestling the ground with a suspect. steel sights tend not to do that as often.

I have no experience with the new sites from Glock so my recomendation for replacing Glocks sites is based on ancient (in terms of firearms technology) history.

I recently purchased a SCCY CPX-2 9mm pistol for $235 with decent night sights! If nobody uses the factory installed sights, why doesn't Glock step up & install good sights at the get go?
I think it’s mostly because they are plastic. I happen to really like them as far as my target acquisition and accuracy goes. Some sights that are similar but are made of metal are the Ameriglo CAP sights.
7 gru 2015 · If you want factory-upgraded sights – such as steel “ball in a bucket” sights, or factory night sights – use the method described in the article above to get (at least) your slide to the factory in Georgia to have Glock techs install upgrades.
