27 sie 2016 · Using my preferred 180 HST, there really does not seem to be a significant difference in velocity when using a ported barrel (much less than I recall in my G22/G22C testing). Also, there is a noticeable (not huge, but noticeable) reduction in recoil with the G23C.
6 wrz 2012 · Don't buy all the negative hype with the Glock "C" models: They reduce muzzle rise a lot; even noticeable in the 9mm models. With the 23C the velocity loss is 75 to 85 FPS average.

I currently carry a 23 and 27 and an Shield 9. That being said I’m planning on taking the 23 off and putting a 19 on but keeping the 27. For reference I’m only permitted to have 3 guns on my CCW. All that said 23 is a solid choice.

22 wrz 2021 · We’ve tested the G23 Gen3 and Gen4 variants and thought the Gen4 variant better allowed the user to control the recoil of 40 S&W. With the Gen5 variant, we think Glock has done an even better job mitigating recoil.
