You can get larger versions (Glock 34) for competition or smaller versions (Glock 19 and Glock 29) for concealed carry, allin 9mm. They make versions of these guns in 22LR, 380 Auto, .357, 40 S&W, 45 ACP and 10mm.
If I wanted an accurate out-of-the-box pistol with night sights and a SAO trigger, I'd get the SIG and if I wanted a hyper-low-maintenance, hyper-robust defensive pistol that points well at close range, I'd get the Glock G17 Gen4 (it also holds the most rounds in a standard magazine).

This G17 is moderately priced like all GLOCKS and is one of the best values in the gun market, not only for the gun which will outlast most owners, but also for the economical 9mm ammo it shoots. Like all third generation GLOCKS it has an accessory rail for a flashlight.
