For the 2022-23 high school wrestling season, attention is being called to: boys and girls weight classification equipment; head/neck/cervical column (HNC) timeout; and stalling in the ultimate tiebreaker.
The first-ever State Girls Individual Wrestling Tournament was held on Jan. 29, 2022 at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wis. There were a total of 261 wrestlers entered into the tournament in 12 weight classes with a nonqualifying invitational participation format.
