2 cze 2021 · Gender is often defined as a social construct of norms, behaviors and roles that varies between societies and over time. Gender is often categorized as male, female or nonbinary.
7 lip 2023 · Gender identity terms are words that are used to help convey meaning related to how people identify with particular genders regardless of their sex assignment at birth. While it may seem arbitrary to some people, the words that we use are extremely important as they can be used to either exclude or empower.
Gender identity is the term used to describe how a person feels internally about their own gender and is a spectrum. For example, a person’s gender identity might mean they identify as a man, a woman, nonbinary, or something completely different.
Gender: Gender encompasses the socially constructed roles, behaviors, activities, and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for individuals based on the sex they were assigned at birth. [2] Gender-based roles and other attributes can change over time and vary with different cultural contexts.
Intended to present standard definitions of terms related to gender, including nonbinary terms, common pronoun formats, and titles for names. Not intended to be a "end all" guidance on these terms, just as a reference of the common definitions and usages of gender terms.
