23 lip 2022 · Gender parity has been the main metric used to assess levels of gender inequalities in education for nearly three decades. 2 It is used in the indicators for the targets for the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) associated with education – SDG4 – and in national Education Sector Plans (ESPs).
To achieve inclusion and gender equality in and through education, governments must eliminate gender biases from curricula and learning materials, expand teacher training on gender-transformative pedagogy, and foster safe and inclusive learning environments to ensure that no one is left behind.
