7 cze 2011 · I picked up a Glock 17, Gen 3 recently via private sale. It had a stainless guide rod with what felt like a heavier spring weight. It began to stove pipe resulting in a double feed. I replaced it with a standard Glock guide rod and spring, got an enlarged slide release and things seem to run fine now (200 trouble free rounds today).

Gen 4 has backstraps which means you can go up and down in size. Gen 3 is closest to the middle size, and cannot increase in size (can go down with frame work and stippling jobs). Gen 4 has a bigger mag release and better out of the box OEM texture.
11 paź 2016 · I have Gen 2, Gen 3 and Gen 4 shooters and like them all with no desire to sell/trade any in the inventory. If I buy a new one it would be a Gen 4 for the following reasons: 1. One more mag 2. Back strap options are great for my large hands 3. Mag release button is better IMO 4. Love the RSA
