Yes, in New York State you can test in English or Spanish. You can combine subject/subtests from different languages to earn your diploma. However, the diploma will be awarded in the language you test on for the Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA) subject/subtest.
Once you’re ready, you will schedule your test online and you will take the test at an official GED ® test center or through online proctoring. To schedule: Simply log into your GED ® account.
Starting in January 2022, individuals in New York State who are seeking a High School Equivalency Diploma will no longer take the TASC Test™ but will instead take the GED Test. New York State continues to pay the cost of testing for residents who are age eligible.
When is this test given? The GED exam is given 12 months a year. What is on the test? The GED exam has five sections: Mathematics; Science; Social Studies; Reasoning Through Language, RLA; The GED exam takes about eight hours to complete and is usually given in one or two days.

The GED is given on our campus in English and Spanish on Friday evenings and all day Saturday on scheduled dates. The exam is offered on the computer.
