  1. This tire is the faster of the three by a noticable margin. I thought race kings were fast.....the Geax is faster. The front tire tracks really well and holds a line with little steering input.

  2. 30 maj 2013 · Excellent traction, predictable handling and robust construction. I actually just purchased another one locally, as it was a ridiculous deal. The weight was at 790g, so little under advertised. Surprising there is 110g difference between the two exact same tires. Scored a pair of 27.5 TNTs for 40 each from bike tires direct.

  3. We were amazed when it defied our expectations and worked pretty well on loamy forest floor, fine wet sandy soils and snow – and when it found some hard ground it flew.

  4. Now available in a 29in size, Geax’s Aka tyre is vying for the crown of fastest 29er tyre. Based on our time on several rides recently, it stands a very good chance. It’s seriously rapid in the right conditions.

25 kwi 2011 · While the AKA’s aren’t really suited for freeride (Geax has other models for that), they are a fantastic race tire that also happens to perform well for day-to-day trail duty on a variety of surfaces. They are super fast rolling, offer great traction, and have held up well so far over roots, ledges, and sharp rocks.

  6. Not really an offroad tire, but provided decent traction on grass, dirt, loose gravel, but not like a good pair of knobbies. Great all around tire, but more suited to urban assault and street riding. Excellent low rolling resistance and cornering grip on concrete and asphalt surfaces.

  7. Thinking about trying Geax tyres out. Does anyone have any news to report back on them? Was thinking about a Goma on the front and a DHEA on the back (probably both with TNT stuff).
