I’m seriously considering the gastric bypass surgery but worried about the side effects. Does it impact your life everyday? How is the recovery? How is the pain? How do you get all the vitamins you need?
I know gastric bypass has a lot of positives but after speaking to my surgeon this thursday and hearing the possible side effects like becoming vitamin deficient, increased risk of losing calcium in bones and teeth, hair loss, high risk of stomach ulcers, etc.
Serious complications gastric bypass surgeries quite uncommon. That’s why they screen candidates so carefully and have the set pre and post op rules that they do - it’s to prevent complications. If you have a complication, they’ll address it.
