21 lis 2009 · I used one 60lb gas strut with 10" extended lengh and 7" compressed length- 3" stroke and 2 - 10mm ball studs. Total cost about $20. It does require drilling 2 new holes - one in the hinge support that is welded to the floor pan and one new hole in the C-bracket that bolts to the trunk lid.
6 lut 2014 · I came across a retailer on ebay (yeah, I know) who was selling new trunk supports for a very reasonable cost. I ordered a pair and received them in the mail about a week later (mid March) After installing them I was VERY impressed. They worked great and made opening the trunk a breeze.
