If you mean custom firmware, then yes, you can still play UMD games using custom firmware. In your Custom Firmware, there is a menu you can access by pressing Select on the 'home' screen. Scroll down to the 5th item on the list ("UMD ISO Mode") Change it to "M33 driver").
