To install GAME MAKER simply run gmaker.exe. Installation creates an entry in the Start menu from which you can run the program or read the documentation. You can uninstall the program in the Configuation panel. If you are currently using version 3 or 4 of GAME MAKER, this version will remain available and can be used for your old games.

Game Maker 5.0 is largely compatible with version 4.3. It can read game files created with version 4.3. You might though have to make some changes. Here are the main incompatibilities: Game Maker 5.0 is no longer supported on Windows 95. There is no longer an option to show the score in the caption or not (there is now an action for this).
